3. You completed an assessment within the past 6 months and were recommended ADETS

At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, we offer for the State of North Carolina ADETS Program- Alcohol Drug Education Traffic School/ Prime for Life. Our Charlotte ADETS classes for DWI education are recommended to clients who have been convicted of a North Carolina DWI, no refusal of the chemical test, having BAC under .14, no prior DWI’s, and no substance use diagnosis. At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, the ADETS program is state regulated. The ADETS– Prime for Life program is offered as a 5-day program for North Carolina DWI clients. At Behavioral Health Intervention Center ADETS- Prime for Life is offered at Behavioral Health Intervention Center. Once you complete the ADETS- Prime for Life class, you will receive a Prime for Life Certificate for finishing the Alcohol Drug Education Traffic School. You will need to communicate with Behavioral Health Intervention Center staff if you have been convicted of your DWI so that the Behavioral Health Intervention Center staff can submit your E508 form to the DMV.

At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, we provide The Prime for Life/ ADETS program for clients who have received a DWI or DUI in another state as well. Behavioral Health Intervention Center has worked with clients who have received out of state DWI/ DUI to the ADETS/ Prime for Life Program. If you have received a DWI or DUI outside of North Carolina in states such Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, New York, or any of the 50 states our Charlotte ADETS classes for DWI education can help.

The ADETS/ Prime for Life Program follows a workbook during the course. During our Charlotte ADETS class for DWI education you will explore and learn about alcohol and other drugs, how they affect the body, how they impair drivers, DUI regulations, drinking habits/patterns, choices, tolerance, and motivation for change. At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, our counselors and facilitators focus the program on the group members. Our main goal is to meet the needs of the clients and to foster a positive experience. At Behavioral Health Intervention Center our counselors and facilitators welcome the group members to speak honestly and respectfully, to be open to one another’s experiences, and to leave the program learning something new about DUI regulations. The ADETS/ Prime for Life counselors and facilitators are warm, respectful, understanding, high energy, and motivated about the group process.
