What Does BAC Stand For?

BAC stands for blood alcohol concentration.  Colloquially known as blood alcohol level,   The BAC is an outcome measure of the percentage of alcohol that one has in their bloodstream. At .08, NC and most other states determine that you are committing an illegal offense when operating a motor vehicle. The blood alcohol concentration of a person (BAC) could be impacted by several different factors such as body weight, gender, the amount of food and body fluid in a person’s system, illness, age. It is important to understand the importance of BAC reports when completing a DWI assessment as it plays a significant role in determining the appropriate recommendation.
