Here at Behavioral Health Intervention Center in Charlotte, we offer in-person and virtual assessment for local or out of state DWI and DUI charges. If you have been convicted of a DWI – Driving While Impaired- in the State of North Carolina or any other states, you can seek out services here at Behavioral Health Intervention Center. Whether we received your DUI charge locally in Charlotte in a different state but are a North Carolina resident we can help. Our main goal here at Behavioral Health Intervention Center is to make our DWI services as smooth and clean as possible for our clients to save them additional time and money.
The North Carolina court system and DMV mandates all clients to receive a DWI assessment before starting their DWI classes or group counseling sessions to be eligible to reinstate your driver’s license. Once your assessment is completed you will receive a certain amount of DWI class hours or ADETS class hours. At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, your DWI classes or ADETS hours are determined based on prior local or out of state DUI charges, refusal of chemical test, Substance Use Diagnosis, BAC level, and results from the ASAM criteria. Behavioral Health Intervention Center provides you with appropriate and fair DWI class hours and will not provide you with a recommendation for more hours than you need to complete the criteria for the court system and the DMV.
At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, you will have an in-person or virtual assessment for local and out of state DUI charges done by a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor who possesses skills to be understanding and empathetic, with respectful communication skills, warmth, and respect. After you have completed the DWI Assessment, you have the ability to join the DWI classes or schedule individual substance abuse therapy. Behavioral Health Intervention Center DWI Class and DWI group therapy are with Substance Abuse counselors who are motivated to be as cohesive as possible. The DWI Class and DWI therapy Group Substance Abuse counselor has skills of being energetic, understanding, outgoing, empathetic, respectful, and culturally sensitive to all populations. DWI classes or DWI therapy groups consist of group activities, individual activities, interesting and updated documentaries/ videos, and creative activities. While attending the DWI classes or DWI therapy groups, you will have the ability to learn alcohol and drug education, connect with other group members in similar life situations or circumstances, learn more about yourself, increase your coping skills, and to be yourself. At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, you and your substance abuse counselor will create goals together -meaning the client has a voice in their treatment process. During your DWI classes or DWI therapy groups, your substance abuse counselor will help guide you through your substance abuse goals to the best of their ability.
At Behavioral Health Intervention Center, all DWI classes and DWI therapy groups are confidential, meaning that every group member shows respect for one another and does not share information outside of the group. During the DWI classes and DWI therapy groups, there is a no cellphone policy unless asked to use a cellphone during group activities, this boundary is set to protect all clients for confidentiality purposes. During the DWI classes and DWI therapy groups, there are multiple breaks throughout the session to allow clients time to drink water, use the restroom, eat a snack, or decompress. For all DWI classes and DWI therapy groups the members have the right to schedule a one on one substance abuse therapy session with their Substance Abuse Counselor if they are in the need to discuss a deeper topic, gain more substance abuse support, gain more substance abuse accountability, or set more personal substance abuse goals with your substance abuse counselor. At Behavioral Health Intervention Center in Charlotte, our clients are our main priority and main goal is to find the best resources / accessibility for their goals and obligations.
