What is the FMCSA Clearinghouse?
The FMCSA Clearinghouse is an online CDL database that stores drug and alcohol testing violations, as well as the return to duty information that follows such violations. The FMCSA Clearinghouse prevents those with violations from moving from one job to another without remediating the violation. Before the implementation of the FMCSA Clearinghouse, drivers with alcohol and drug-related violations were able to enter safety-sensitive positions without such regulations. This could place the drivers, their coworkers, their employers, and the public at risk of great harm. If you have any questions about the process as well as the drug and alcohol assesments needed to clear a DOT violation or have a need pertaining to a DOT SAP evaluation, please give our staff at Behavioral Health Intervention Center a call and we will be more than happy to assist you.
