Court-Related Assessment Process
Behavioral Health Intervention Center (BHIC) provides structured, standardized clinical assessments for individuals involved in court, custody, probation, or attorney-referred matters.
All assessments follow the same core evaluation framework to ensure consistency, clinical integrity, and legal credibility.
Assessment Fee
All court-related assessments: $250 (flat rate)
Private pay. Payment due prior to appointment.
Core Components Included in All Assessments
Every assessment—regardless of referral source—includes the following:
✔ Face-to-Face Biopsychosocial Clinical Interview
Comprehensive in-person evaluation addressing biological, psychological, and social factors.
✔ Alcohol & Drug Screening
Clinical assessment of current and historical substance use patterns.
✔ Mental Health Screening
Evaluation of emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning.
✔ Qualitative Assessment Tools
Clinical interviewing, behavioral observations, and psychosocial history review.
✔ Quantitative Assessment Tools
Standardized, evidence-based screening instruments as clinically indicated.
✔ Clinical Summary & Recommendations
Written documentation appropriate for court, probation, or attorney verification.​

Court Child Custody Assessment
Purpose:
To evaluate individual functioning and factors relevant to parenting stability and custody-related concerns.

Includes:
​
* Parenting stressors and family system review

* Functional stability and risk factor assessment

* Alcohol, drug, and mental health assessment 

* Clinical findings relevant to custody considerations

Attorney / Lawyer Referral Assessment:
Purpose:
To provide objective clinical information to assist attorneys with case planning, mitigation, or court preparation.

* Comprehensive clinical screening across behavioral health domains

* Alcohol, drug, and mental health assessment

* Functional impact and risk evaluation

* Professional clinical summary for legal use

Anger Management Assessment
Purpose:
To assess anger expression, impulse control, and emotional regulation, commonly required by court or legal counsel.

Includes:

* Behavioral and emotional regulation screening

* Risk and escalation pattern assessment

* Alcohol, drug, and mental health assessment 

* Determination of treatment or class referral (if indicated)
